![]() Gainesville Sports Organizing Committee (GSOC) Wins Bid to Host 2006 NORCECA Girls Youth Volleyball Championships
Gainesville, FL, July 12, 2006 - Gainesville Sports Organizing Committee, Inc. celebrates after winning the bid to host the 2006 NORCECA Girls Youth Volleyball Championships on July 24-31. The Championships will take place at the O'Connell Center on the campus of the University of Florida GSOC is expecting as many as six teams to participate in the Championships. The countries expected to send their teams to compete, are United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic. The NORCECA Youth Championships is a bi-annual event and will qualify teams for the 2007 FIVB Girls Youth World Championships.
